Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes Runtime and Release, for a remote US-based role. You will build and evolve software infrastructure that supports Kubernetes deployment, validation, and release workflows across hardware and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with platform and release teams to improve reliability, automate checks, and drive safe installations and rollouts. Eligible candidates will have strong Go/Kubernetes experience and a BS/MS in a related field.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building production infrastructure software or distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go or equivalent languages, with a focus on Go.
• Kubernetes expertise in at least one area such as controllers, release automation, or cloud integration.
• Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects and troubleshooting failures.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build Go controllers and APIs for software installation, upgrades, and validations in a Kubernetes environment.
• Integrate components and define API contracts to evolve delivery systems such as Helm and Argo CD.
• Develop validation pipelines to guide release decisions across multiple hardware platforms.
• Create systems for capacity allocation and account for cloud resources.
• Automate qualification processes through reusable tests and clear reporting.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes Runtime and Release to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will focus on building and evolving the software infrastructure that supports Kubernetes-based deployment, validation, and release workflows. The engineer will partner closely with platform and release stakeholders to improve reliability, automate operational checks, and strengthen delivery across complex hardware and cloud environments. This is a hands‑on engineering position with impact on how software is installed, validated, and safely rolled out across multiple platforms.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $184,000 – $356,500 annually
