Job summary

RPMGlobal in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced full-time DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack containerized microservices architecture for the NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform and D3P Modernization efforts.

You will work with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and GitLab to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure, collaborating across engineering, security, and operations teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using a microservice architecture on Kubernetes with Elasticsearch and Kafka.
• Enhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes.
• Design, develop, and support scalable infrastructure including physical and virtualized environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new feature requirements.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions, and related meetings.
