Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join a high-energy team supporting the DIA-NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform. This role builds and deploys a cutting-edge tech stack as part of a 10-year program modernizing the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver mission-critical capabilities, design and maintain a containerized microservices architecture, and drive CI/CD automation across Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s with 6+ years experience.
Strong Linux proficiency and production-grade scripting abilities.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack, containerized microservices architecture.
Support systems administration, installation, and configuration.
Promote adoption of DevOps practices across engineering teams.
Deploy, triage, and maintain production big-data pipelines (Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kafka).
Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and reliability.
Design scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
Collaborate with Systems Engineers to architect new capabilities.
Contribute to engineering documentation and diagrams.
Participate in Agile release planning and scrums.
