Job summary

SimSpace seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Network Simulation to lead the kernel-level internet routing simulation. You will architect an eBPF-based layer, implement XDP/TC hooks, and ensure accurate ASN topology, inter-AS latency, and traceroute fidelity within a production-grade system.

You will mentor engineers, shape the technical roadmap, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multi-tenant cyber range deployments.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Linux kernel networking and eBPF program development.
• Solid systems programming in C or Rust for eBPF.
• Experience with Kubernetes deployment of control-plane services.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to set architectural direction.
• Familiarity with network routing concepts (BGP, ASN topologies) and traceroute/MTR fidelity.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the eBPF-based routing simulation layer.
• Design the control-plane topology database and data ingestion pipeline.
• Architect the in-range proxy agent bridging control plane to cyber ranges.
• Define interface contracts between control plane and agents, and ensure graceful degradation.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering quality across the team.
• Collaborate with adjacent platform teams on multi-tenant operations.
