Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and configure enterprise-grade software components in alignment with design specs and project requirements. You will build Java/Scala-based RESTful APIs and partner with BAs to identify design gaps and improvements.

You will write unit tests, troubleshoot across development, staging, and production, and contribute to continuous improvement of digital services, with a focus on federal program delivery and multi-environment operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade software using Java and JavaScript.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and data exchange patterns.
• Familiarity with Scala in backend/service-oriented development.
• Experience using Splunk for log analysis across multi-environment systems.
• Ability to write and execute unit tests and follow testing best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve defects across environments including production.
• Translate designs into quality software with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure software components aligned with design specifications and project requirements.
