Job summary
Maverick Associates in Columbia, MD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software for computer systems. You will work with a skilled team to deliver robust solutions for DoD/federal clients and commercial customers.
The role requires strong Java development, Kubernetes expertise, and experience with microservices and RESTful APIs. You will mentor teammates, contribute to agile processes, and occasionally work from the Columbia office 1–2 days
Qualifications
- Must have strong Java development experience across modern frameworks.
- Experience building Kubernetes deployments with Helm and Flux.
- Experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful services.
- Experience with microservices architecture and Agile software lifecycle.
- Ability to mentor or lead engineering teams.
- Hybrid work: 1–2 days per week in Columbia, MD office.
