Job summary

Northstrat seeks a talented Software Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role based in Columbia, MD. You will design, develop, and implement complex Java-based capabilities for our client systems, working closely with experienced engineers to deliver scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep Java experience with Kubernetes and microservices, RESTful APIs, and a proven ability to mentor peers while balancing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

9+ years in software engineering with Java and modern frameworks.
Experience with Kubernetes deployments using helm and flux.
Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful services.
Experience with Linux and configuration management tools.
Leadership as tech lead or mentor for engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement software capabilities for distributed systems.
Lead and mentor engineering teams in a hybrid work environment.
Build enterprise APIs and RESTful services.
Maintain Kubernetes deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
