Horizontal Talent in Eagan, MN is seeking a software engineer for a 6-month contract to design, develop, test, and deploy modern healthcare application solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver impactful software.

The role requires 5+ years of Java/C# development, strong AWS experience, and Python scripting for automation, with a focus on secure, reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher or extensive software development experience.
• 5+ years of software development with Java and C#.
• 2+ years with Lambda and/or Step Functions.
• 1+ year experience with relational SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• 1+ year building cloud architectures, especially AWS, for large-scale hosted apps.
• 1+ year using Python for scripting and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an active Scrum team member through the full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, code review).
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, QA, and full-stack developers to build and enhance applications.
• Work with clinical/product/quality analysts to support delivery.
• Contribute to security and risk assessments for production deployments.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and engage with customers to resolve requirements.
• Support on-call responsibilities as needed.
