Job summary

SmartRent in the U.S. notices a Senior Software Engineer to join one of multiple product teams (IoT/Hardware, Frontend, Backend, Mobile). You will design and implement high-quality software across Elixir, React, and React Native, contribute to scalable APIs, and mentor teammates.

Hybrid work from Phoenix, AZ, reporting to HQ, with collaboration across PMs, designers and QA to deliver secure, maintainable solutions. A BS in CS or related field and strong API knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, software eng, or related field.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git and modern build tools.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of vital components and features.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, QA to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code in Elixir, React, and React Native.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering standards.
• Improve performance and refactor legacy systems.
