Job summary

SmartRent in Phoenix, AZ seeks a DevOps Engineer to accelerate infrastructure evolution across multi-region AWS. You will implement IaC, CI/CD, and AIOps for scalable, secure services supporting smart-building and IoT ecosystems.

The role requires 2+ years in DevOps, Terraform, and containerization, with hybrid work arrangements and collaboration across security, engineering, and ops teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to manage cloud resources.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS or GCP.
• Programming experience (Python, Go, or similar).
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Collaborative mindset and strong cloud solution skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering to design, provision, update, and maintain multi-region AWS environments using Terraform.
• Design and maintain CI/CD workflows across environments with automated testing.
• Support infrastructure for IoT data pipelines, analytics, and AI rollouts.
• Implement AIOps, anomaly detection, and automated alerts using DataDog and CloudWatch.
• Drive self-healing, auto-scaling, cost-optimization, and incident response workflows.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and ensure high platform availability.
