Job summary

HYPR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our NYC-based team. You will build high-quality test suites, design best practices, and enable automated testing across mobile, desktop, SaaS services, and databases, partnering with engineering to strengthen CD pipelines.

The role requires 8+ years in automation, experience with CI/CD, BDD/Selenium, and performance testing of large-scale SaaS platforms. Hybrid work, base salary $140k-$160k, equity, and visa restrictions apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
• Strong CS fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• 8+ years of automation experience.
• Experience in a Continuous Delivery environment—frequent releases, automated testing gates, CI/CD pipelines, environment automation.
• Interest in AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience with BDD/Selenium automation across mobile drivers, BrowserStack, or similar.
• Experience with leading end-to-end performance testing for a large-scale SaaS platform.
• Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing complex microservices architecture to identify root causes of latency and system bottlenecks.
• Experience testing SaaS platforms or complex distributed systems.
• Experience with Git Flow and tools such as Gitlab, Artifactory and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Break up complex features into clear, automatable tests and scalable solutions.
• Test mobile and desktop applications, SaaS services, platform scalability and migrations.
• Partner with engineering teams to enable CD pipelines with strong automated test coverage and reliable gates.
• Learn new systems quickly and communicate challenges clearly.
• Participate in full development life cycle with requirements, designs and code reviews.
• Create and run performance test plans and automation scripts.
• Examine performance test results and document CPU, memory, and response time metrics.
