Job summary

ExtraHop is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our collaborative engineering team. You will build a fault-resilient, highly available platform and deliver customer-facing AI/ML features to help security teams stop threats in real time.

Our services are written in Python, Go, TypeScript, and React, and run on AWS/GCP with Terraform for infrastructure. You will work with senior engineers, data scientists, threat researchers, and contribute to scalable, secure solutions for NDR and related

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience, preferably backend/cloud/security systems.
• Solid knowledge of Python, Go, or equivalent languages.
• Experience building distributed, highly available cloud-based systems on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software components supporting AI/ML models, data pipelines, and detectors.
• Collaborate with data scientists and threat researchers to integrate AI/ML features into the product architecture.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Help identify and address technical debt and stay current with cybersecurity threats and trends.
