Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. through AWS Supply Chain is building the infrastructure powering AWS's global cloud platform. This role focuses on designing and implementing core components of the simulation and optimization platform for data center replenishment planning at scale.

We partner with cross-functional teams, own features end-to-end from design to deployment, review code, and drive performance improvements to support rapid growth and reliable operations across global data centers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of the simulation platform and optimization algorithms that power AWS data center replenishment planning across global operations.
• Own significant portions of the planning system, delivering features across the full software lifecycle from design through deployment, testing, and operational support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and customers to translate complex supply chain requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring high code quality standards across the team.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying root causes of system issues, implementing permanent fixes, and continuously improving team processes and software performance.
