Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for the Dice Team in Bellevue, WA. You will help build scalable, cloud-based distributed services that optimize Inventory Placement, improve delivery speed, and balance inventory across domestic and international networks.

You will work with Senior and Principal Engineers, Researchers, and Data Engineers to design a platform for supply chain optimization and to expand our world-class systems as new initiatives arise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on large systems.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software.
• Experience in C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Experiment with whatever technology needed to get the job done.
• Apply Lean Software Development concepts including Agile, Scrum and Kanban.
• Use Test-Driven Development and Continuous Deployment.
• Collaborate with Senior/Principal Engineers, Researchers, and Data Engineers to design a new platform for optimizing supply chain management.
• Expand and optimize supply chain systems to support emerging business initiatives.
• Automate third party supply management systems to drive inventory across marketplaces.
