Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for Enterprise Technology Services in Austin, TX.

You will design and build scalable identity services powering Apple Account and related services, delivering high-performance REST and RPC APIs with a focus on reliability, latency, and observability. You will own features end-to-end, guide architectural decisions for distributed systems, and collaborate with QE, platform, and product teams.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years of Java experience including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable identity services and high-performance REST and RPC APIs.
Own features end-to-end from architecture to production support.
Improve reliability, latency, and observability of large-scale systems.
Help bring ML and generative AI capabilities into identity workflows.
Set API design standards and ensure backward compatibility across the platform.
Deepen system observability with logging, metrics, and tracing.
