Job summary

Apple's Identity Management Services team designs and operates the identity platform behind Apple Account, the sign-in and account system for all Apple services. As a Software Development Engineer, you will design and build scalable identity services and high-performance REST and RPC APIs spanning authentication, adaptive MFA, and user lifecycle, owning features end to end.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java proficiency including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable identity services and high-performance REST and RPC APIs.
• Own features end to end from architecture to production support.
• Improve reliability, latency, and observability of systems.
• Collaborate with QE, platform, product, and design teams.
• Explore ML and generative AI capabilities in identity workflows.
