Job summary

Aledade is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I - EHR Integrations to help advance 0-to-1 product efforts bridging health tech and EHR systems. You will build full-stack applications atop interoperability standards and chromium-based overlays for browser and Windows-based EHRs.

You will collaborate with engineering managers and product teams to shape technical roadmaps, mentor peers, and deliver scalable healthcare software.

Qualifications

• BS/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years experience as an engineer on a cross-functional team.
• 4+ years building complex frontend (UI/UX) focused applications.
• 4+ years of CSS/HTML/JavaScript with modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc).
• 2+ years as a trusted technical decision-maker.
• 2+ years coaching other engineers.
• Experience building integration apps with health-tech systems (EHR/EMR).
• Expertise in at least 1 server-side tech (Node.js, Java, Python, etc).
• Experience with web frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask, etc).
• Deep understanding of DOM and browser behavior.
• Experience building chromium-based apps and pluggable UIs.
• Experience with API design and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable and performant solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers and stakeholders to execute technical roadmaps using Agile processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform thorough PR reviews; accept feedback and improve code quality.

As a Senior Software Engineer I - EHR Integrations, Fullstack, you are someone who has experience building “0 to 1 products'', and you thrive in an ambiguous environment. As the Sr. SWE I on the team, you will be taking Aledade’s world class point of care insights (Dx suggestions, analytics, care suggestions) one step closer to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems that our partner practices use for patient management! You will be building cutting-edge full stack applications, built on top of constructs like interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7), chromium project overlay apps compatible with browser based EHR systems, as well as Windows desktop based EHR systems. Point of Care full stack application initiative is one of the key 2026-27 product investments.

• Develop and implement scalable and performant solutions.
• Partner, as a peer, with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders throughout Aledade to develop and execute technical roadmaps using Agile processes.
• Mentor and coach more junior engineers including thorough pull request reviews for other developers and be receptive to critical feedback on your own work.

• BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years experience as an engineer as part of a cross-functional team.
• 4+ years experience as an engineer building complex frontend (UI/UX) focused applications as part of a cross-functional team.
• 4+ years of experience working with CSS/HTML/Javascript and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, VueJs/Ember).
• 2+ years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting, solving for short-term and long-term business value.
• 2+ years of experience coaching other engineers.

• Experience building integration apps with health-tech systems, like Electronic Health Records (EHRs/EMRs).
• Expertise in at least 1 server-side web technology (eg: Nodejs, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++,Go, JVM). Python preferred.
• Experience with any web framework (Django, FastAPI, Flask etc).
• Deep understanding of the DOM and how the browser works.
• Experience in building chromium based apps, pluggable UIs (overlays) which work via chrome plugins / chromium apps in browsers / windows desktop.
• Experience with API design and development.
• Experience with cloud based technologies such as AWS, Azure or google cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
