Job summary

Agility Partners is seeking a Senior Engineer (full-stack) to contribute across all layers of complex software in an Agile healthcare environment. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications, build REST services and microservices, and mentor team members.

You will drive automated testing, apply TDD, and design data storage and integration solutions while ensuring secure handling of PHI and collaborating with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Server-side development in Java with Spring Boot.
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting REST services and microservices.
• Cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Relational and non-relational databases and messaging systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; self-motivated.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Job description

The Senior Engineer is a full-stack developer who works across all layers of complex software applications in an Agile environment. This role serves as a hands-on contributor, leads technical initiatives, mentors team members, and helps deliver technology solutions within the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and components.
• Build and support REST services, microservices, and cloud-based solutions.
• Create and maintain automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and help guide engineering best practices.
• Design data storage, access, and integration solutions.
• Support operational excellence through monitoring, logging, metrics, build pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Develop secure applications and safeguard sensitive information, including PHI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and design decisions.
• Mentor peers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with server-side development (Java with Spring Boot preferred).
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting REST services and microservices.
• Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience with relational databases, non-relational databases, and messaging systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and technically inquisitive.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
