Job summary

Keatax is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to modernize property tax technology across on-prem .NET/SQL Server and an AWS-native microservices platform. You will collaborate with product, engineers, and leadership to deliver scalable solutions and mentor peers.

You will develop backend services in Go and frontend in React, using AI-assisted tools to speed development while maintaining quality, observability, and sound engineering judgment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with technical ownership, mentorship, or leading workstreams.
• Proven ability to produce high quality software and mentor others.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating model outputs.

Responsibilities

• Support, extend, and improve existing production applications built on .NET/SQL Server and React/Angular on-prem.
• Design and build new services on AWS using a microservices architecture.
• Develop backend services in Go and front-end in React.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI-assisted development practices.
• Document trade-offs and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
