Job summary

InvestM Technology LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to bridge industrial hardware and AI, building and modernizing HMI desktop applications in C# and Python. The role requires relocation to the Wichita/Derby, KS area to integrate with shop-floor automation and ensure real-time performance.

You will advance WinForms to modern WPF/WinUI/Avalonia interfaces, deploy PyTorch/TensorFlow models at the edge, and connect CNC telemetry with scalable data stores.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with desktop/UI and data/AI integration.
• Experience with MES/CNC controllers or related manufacturing domains is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, scale, and optimize high-performance desktop HMI interfaces for CNC machinery.
• Modernize legacy WinForms/WPF UIs and migrate to WinUI or Avalonia.
• Deploy, test, and optimize ML models (PyTorch, TensorFlow) at the edge for anomaly detection and quality control.
• Build data layers combining SQL and MongoDB for high-frequency time-series telemetry.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers to ingest CNC data into apps.
