Job summary

Ironstead seeks a Member of Technical Staff to own and contribute across a large software system spanning hardware/edge software, backend, models, and UI within IronsteadOS. You will work across MES, front/m back office systems, and AI tools for design, quoting, CAM, and predictive maintenance.

The role is based in NYC with frequent onsite presence at Ironstead shops, in a lean team building a software organization from scratch and deploying Python, TypeScript/React, Postgres, and OpenTofu on

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience delivering complex systems in professional contexts.
• Ability to operate with high degree of freedom and drive projects through to end user.

Responsibilities

• Own large parts of the product development lifecycle from requirements capture through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and deploy software+AI systems that accelerate the manufacturing process.
• Wrap hardware/edge data collection and shop-floor systems with software solutions to turbocharge operations.
