Job summary

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) is seeking a Computing Engineer/Software Developer to build custom cobot control integrations, AI/ML applications, and associated GUIs for advanced manufacturing.

You will work with cobots, simulation platforms, and cutting-edge AI tools to create scalable automation and quality-improvement solutions. The role involves full-stack development for AI/ML, deployment of ML models, API design, data pipelines, and building reusable software components for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 1–4 years programming in Python, C++, R, Java.
• Experience with ML/AI frameworks and libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with data processing, databases, and ML deployment tools.
• Strong background in scalable software design, API development, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance in-house software tools for operations.
• Full-stack duties for AI/ML roles, deploying models in user-facing apps.
• Develop and deploy ML models (LLMs, CNNs, GANs, ResNets) for computer vision and ERP use cases.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust API interfaces between ML platforms and external software.
• Build scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform data for ML models and third-party APIs.
• Design cobot applications, multi-cobot workstations, and simulation environments.
• Build GUIs and reusable components for data pipelines and dashboards.
• Optimize code for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and management to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Support or lead small team proposals and guide peers on automation and ML projects.
