Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop Guidewire software applications and related components, working independently and with a team, applying your expertise in gathering, documenting, and understanding business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Guidewire software applications and integrations.
• Gather, document, and understand functional, non-functional, and business requirements.
• Perform testing to ensure high quality.
• Monitor production systems for issues.
• Research and troubleshoot system problems.
• Understand Alfa’s technology framework and system impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or 10 years of experience in software development.
• At least 3 years of experience coding in Guidewire, or 2 years with GW certification.
• Experience in Java, GOSU, XML, SQL Server, and modern code repositories.
• Claims Center experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and understanding of SDLC components.

This remote position is available in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Travel to Montgomery may be required for meetings or training.
