Job summary
Vanta is expanding its government-focused platform, building AI-powered security and compliance tools for federal agencies and SLED.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead cross-team initiatives, shape architecture, and deliver core capabilities for government workflows.
You’ll work with early design partners and scale the platform while advancing Vanta's engineering culture.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong systems thinking and platform architecture skills.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as fintech or healthcare; FedRAMP or government domain experience is a plus.
- Comfortable operating in early-stage, 0-1 environments where requirements evolve as you learn from customers and technical decisions carry real business consequences.
- A strong product mindset: shipping matters, prioritizing against deadlines, balancing technical rigor with delivery velocity.
- Open to using AI to amplify your skills and strengthen your work - with responsible AI usage.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant impact to our government product line.
- Lead the design and build of net-new product capabilities for government workflows.
- Partner with adjacent engineering teams on shared infrastructure and tagging systems for government compliance workflows.
- Drive technical initiatives across engineering, product, and go-to-market.
- Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture as we grow.
