Concept Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Go (Golang) Enhancement Lead to lead a small engineering team responsible for enhancing, modernizing, and sustaining mission-critical applications supporting a Department of War (DoW) customer.

This hands-on technical leadership role requires mentoring engineers, shaping technical decisions, and delivering reliable software enhancements in a secure, mission-focused environment.

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience, including at least 3 years developing production services using Go (Golang).
• Strong experience with SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, and REST API design.
• Demonstrated experience leading a small engineering team through technical design, code reviews, and software releases in an Agile development environment.

Concept Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Go (Golang) Enhancement Lead to lead a small engineering team responsible for enhancing, modernizing, and sustaining mission-critical applications supporting a Department of War (DoW) customer.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership opportunity for an experienced Go developer who enjoys mentoring engineers, driving technical decisions, and delivering reliable software enhancements in a secure, mission‑focused environment.

• Lead a small engineering team delivering new capabilities to production Go and React/TypeScript applications, from technical design through deployment.
• Own technical design, code review standards, and release readiness for the team's development backlog.
• Partner with Government product owners to shape requirements, establish priorities, and deliver enhancements aligned with mission needs.
• Ensure changes to live, mission‑critical applications are delivered safely through automated testing, feature flags, and rehearsed rollback plans.
• Mentor engineers, promote software engineering best practices, and maintain high standards for code quality.
• Collaborate closely with sustainment, security, and platform teams to support reliable application delivery.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience, including at least 3 years developing production services using Go (Golang).
• Strong experience with SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, and REST API design.
• Demonstrated experience leading a small engineering team through technical design, code reviews, and software releases in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with containerized deployments using Amazon ECS or Kubernetes.
• Experience working with AWS GovCloud.
• Experience delivering software in federal or other regulated environments with formal change control processes.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Work Location and Schedule

• Location: Hybrid. Reston, VA headquarters and approved remote locations within the United States, with on‑site work at Government facilities in Northern Virginia and Maryland as required. Government‑furnished equipment is used for all access to Government environments.
• Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The team operates in two‑week sprints, including a customer demonstration each sprint.
• Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
• Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow an earlier start.
• Compensation: $170,000–$180,000 base salary, depending on experience.

This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start in October 2026.
