Concept Solutions, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer – Go (Golang) to support a DoW modernization program. The role focuses on building Go backends for a unified platform with secure access and ongoing sustainment of existing applications.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and resolve defects in Go/React-TS applications under guidance of senior engineers.

Job description

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Software Engineer – Go (Golang) to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.

This program focuses on modernizing and streamlining access across a portfolio of production applications by creating a unified platform with single sign-on, a centralized work environment, and a repeatable approach for integrating applications. The team will also maintain and support existing applications to ensure continued operational stability throughout modernization.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software engineer to strengthen their Go development skills, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to a high-impact federal modernization initiative.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in applications developed using Go and React/TypeScript under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop, execute, and maintain software tests to support application quality and reliability.
• Participate in application patching cycles, software releases, and ongoing sustainment activities.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to support production applications and resolve technical issues.
• Gradually transition into the team's on-call support rotation following onboarding and training.

What we're looking for

• 1+ years of backend software engineering experience using Go (Golang); OR
• 2+ years of backend development experience in another strongly typed programming language, with demonstrated Go projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with container technologies.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Work Location and Schedule

• Location: Hybrid. Based at Concept Solutions' Reston, VA headquarters and approved remote locations within the United States, with on-site work at government facilities in Northern Virginia and Maryland as required. Government-furnished equipment will be used for all access to government environments.
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The team operates in two-week sprints, with a customer demonstration at the end of each sprint.
• Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
• Security Requirement: U.S. citizenship required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher is strongly preferred and may allow for an earlier start.
• Compensation: $100,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience.

Contract Status: This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start in October 2026.
