Job summary

Distribusion is hiring a Staff/Senior Software Engineer to join the Search team. You will contribute to a high-throughput API platform servicing major retailers worldwide, focusing on Golang, Elixir and Ruby integrations.

The role involves mentoring, architectural input, and building scalable microservices in a remote-first company with a Berlin HQ. Strong backend and distributed systems expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years in Golang.
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency services.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems.
• Experience with microservices/SOA.
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes from a software perspective.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP preferred).
• Proficiency in designing robust REST APIs.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Work on a technically complex Search Engine.
• Deliver high-quality Elixir, Ruby and Golang code for new carrier & retailer integrations.
• Manage and orchestrate a large number of microservices.
• Maintain existing Elixir and Ruby code.
• Improve test coverage and quality of deliverables.
• Contribute to system architectural decisions within the team.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries.
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members.
