Job summary

Distribusion Technologies GmbH in Berlin is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Search team. You will drive the strategic architectural transition of our core Search Engine from Elixir to Go, and design foundations for high-throughput microservices across legacy systems.

You will own the backlog and success metrics, mentor peers, uphold agile processes, and promote Go best practices while collaborating with partners like Booking.com, Google Maps, Amtrak, Deutsche Bahn, Renfe and SNCF.

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience.
3+ years of Golang experience.
Knowledge of Ruby or Python to navigate legacy ecosystem.
Deep architectural mastery of high-throughput distributed systems, microservices, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and GCP.
Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to translate technical decisions into business metrics.
Commitment to agile practices, CI/CD, and documentation.
Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

Drive architectural transition of the core Search Engine from Elixir to Go.
Design infrastructure for high-throughput microservices and ensure interoperability with legacy systems.
