Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas in Austin seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own core payout services and partner integrations for cross-border transfers. You will influence payout speeds, transfer volume, and customer experience by building distributed systems with a strong product mindset.

You will collaborate across teams, mentor others, and ensure maintainable, well-tested code. Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, microservices, and APIs is essential, with knowledge of Kafka or cloud

Qualifications

• Core technical requirements include Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot.
• Architecture experience with scalable microservices and APIs.
• Strong command of relational databases and data consistency.
• Distributed-systems judgment including asynchronous processing, idempotency, retries, reconciliation, and failure recovery.
• Bonus: Kafka, event-driven systems, or cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Strong product mindset, connecting engineering decisions to customer outcomes, payout volume, speed, quality, cost, and risk.
• Self-starting and collaborative approach, with the confidence to work independently and bring the right people together to solve problems.
• End-to-end ownership of impactful projects from problem understanding to delivery and operation.
• Strong experience with Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs; Kafka or cloud infra is valuable.
• Sound distributed-systems judgment across asynchronous processing, idempotency, data consistency, retries, reconciliation, security, scalability, and failure recovery.
• Commitment to maintainable, well-tested software, predictable delivery, observability, and operational ownership.
• Clear and adaptable communication, translating complex concepts for different audiences across teams.
