Job summary

Google is seeking engineers for the Global Network (GGN) to build the next-generation infrastructure that spans Edge, B2, and B4 backbones. You will join a team that designs end-to-end testing strategies and ensures reliable, high-performance network software delivery.

As part of GGN Engineering Productivity, you will help scale testing, validate software and hardware, and partner with service owners to architect testing strategies across the stack, enabling rapid iteration and high reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience with software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead emulation projects, architecting GGN’s virtualization infra with Kubernetes to speed test cycles.
• Provide technical leadership, perform architectural reviews, and resolve complex bottlenecks.
• Adopt cloud-native patterns to modernize EngProd stack and maintain competitive edge.
• Institute best practices in automated testing, code health, and agile methods.
