Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a Software Developer to advance intelligence analysis products, modernize apps, and automate operations using Agile processes and modern stacks. The Senior Software Developer will lead backend work, guide teams, and shape technical standards while optimizing secure pipelines in AWS environments.

Responsibilities include designing enterprise services, driving geospatial integration, mentoring developers, and supporting client-facing technical materials.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance (eligible for CI Poly).
• Backend development experience of 9–13 years.
• Expert proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and/or Python.
• Leadership in DevSecOps adoption and Agile/SAFe.
• Advanced AWS expertise for containerized apps.
• Geospatial systems and enterprise integration experience.
• GitLab as source repo and CI/CD tool.
• Experience creating tailored geospatial analyses with multiple languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of enterprise backends.
• Architect secure DevSecOps pipelines and automated tests.
• Migrate and modernize apps in AWS environments.
• Drive geospatial integration across enterprise apps.
• Define coding standards and best practices.
• Supervise teams and provide mentorship.
• Evaluate performance and propose improvements.
• Support proposal writing and client briefings.
