Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Software Engineer to own end-to-end features in a fast-growing AI-focused startup in NYC. You'll build scalable full‑stack apps using TypeScript and Python, deploy on AWS, and work with customer feedback to shape the product.

The role emphasizes ownership, proactive learning, and contributing to a rapidly evolving agentic AI platform. Work is primarily in Manhattan with in-person collaboration four days a week and Fridays remote.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
• Experience building scalable full-stack applications.
• Strong in TypeScript and Python with AWS exposure.
• Interest in generative AI and evolving AI tech landscape.
• Ability to work autonomously in a lean startup environment.
• Demonstrated ownership from idea to production.

Responsibilities

• Own software projects from concept through deployment and iteration.
• Build full-stack applications focused on scale and usability.
• Develop cloud-based systems using TypeScript, Python, and AWS.
• Work on research projects, feature development, and bug fixes.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather feedback.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs with a critical lens.
• Contribute to the agentic AI platform and scalable architecture.
