Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, deliver, and operate large-scale systems that leverage generative AI and LLMs to power shopping experiences for hundreds of millions of customers.

You will own end-to-end design, partner with scientists and engineers, mentor teammates, and drive production readiness, deployments, and operational excellence across services that process the world’s product catalog.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered software
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle and best practices

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, development, deployment, and health of services leveraging LLMs.
• Design and deliver distributed features powering production selection pipelines.
• Develop expertise in catalog systems and evolution for large-scale processing.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to scale ML models and data pipelines.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews, design discussions, and coaching.
