Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to own end-to-end software delivery for our Generative AI initiatives.

You will collaborate with product and business stakeholders across teams to scope, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain customer-facing AI software. The role requires deep experience across the full software lifecycle and a track record of delivering scalable services in a large distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Lead ambiguous and complex areas that directly impact AWS customer.
• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
