Job summary

Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for Ads Creative Effectiveness to build high-performance backends for generative ad assets. You will own architecture, enable image/video editing at scale, and bridge model output with production systems across the Ad stack.

Responsibilities include leading engineering architecture, developing editing workflows, and ensuring safety/compliance while partnering with Product, UX, and ML teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience architecting and scaling distributed backend systems (Python, Go).
• Experience bridging ML models and production software.
• Ability to translate advertiser needs into scalable technical roadmaps.
• Strong emphasis on reliability, observability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Creative Engineering Architecture: design high-performance backends for ad creative generation.
• Advanced Editing & Asset Workflows: develop end-to-end image/video editing engines.
• Scale Performance Feedback Systems: ingest CTR/CVR data to optimize generation.
• Optimize Model Orchestration & Efficiency: high-concurrency inference and latency.
• Robust Safety & Compliance Systems: content filtering and compliance middleware.
• Cross-Functional Technical Leadership: align with Product, UX, Ads ML leadership.
• Engineering Excellence: mentor engineers and conduct reviews.
