Job summary

The AES Group is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a Point Mugu, CA-based role. You will develop scalable microservices with Java Spring Boot, write production-grade Java and TypeScript, and build responsive front-end apps with ReactJS. Expect REST APIs, WebSockets, RabbitMQ, and robust testing while collaborating in an Agile SAFe environment.

You will mentor juniors, perform code reviews, and contribute to architecture decisions, with travel as needed. A DoD Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Between 3 to 10 years of experience in software development and related roles.
• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• 3+ years with CI/CD in an agile DevOps environment.
• 3+ years with .NET, C#, JavaScript, containers, and microservices architecture.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and database design.
• 2+ years' experience with HTML and CSS.
• 2+ years' experience with Git version control.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalents.
• Experience in Agile environments and as a Scrum team member.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for all levels of interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex microservices-based systems using Java Spring Boot for scalability and fault tolerance.
• Write high-performance, production-ready code in Java and TypeScript.
• Develop responsive front-end applications with ReactJS/Redux, NPM, and Material UI.
• Implement RESTful web services and APIs with robust authentication and error handling.
• Use WebSockets for real-time collaboration and dashboards.
• Configure and manage RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing and integration.
• Leverage Hibernate/JPA for efficient data access and entity management.
• Implement automated testing at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Manage Git workflows with proper branching strategies and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes deployments across full stack and mentor junior developers.
• Create and maintain technical docs in Confluence; manage tasks in JIRA and SAFe ceremonies.
