Job summary

REI Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for the design, development, testing, modernization, and operational support of complex enterprise applications for the ODOS Program.

The successful candidate will lead critical engineering decisions, mentor engineers, establish development practices, and collaborate with architecture, product, UX, QA, DevOps, database, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with advanced Java and Spring Boot.
• Advanced Angular or React and JavaScript expertise delivering complex full stack applications.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and modernization of complex enterprise apps.
• Mentor engineers and set development practices across teams.
• Collaborate with architecture, product, UX, QA, DevOps, and operations.
• Develop scalable backend services and enterprise integrations.
• Define scalable data models and database aspects (PostgreSQL/Oracle).
• Drive DevSecOps integration, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
