Job summary

REI Systems is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to build and maintain modern full stack applications for the ODOS Program. You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and DevOps to deliver reliable, secure software in an Agile/DevSecOps environment.

The role emphasizes Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, and RESTful APIs, with opportunities to grow in a supportive, mission-driven team. Hybrid work with occasional onsite collaboration in Sterling, VA.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong foundation in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Angular/React and web technologies.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and relational databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, and JavaScript.
• Develop backend business logic and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive UIs with Angular/React, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate front-end with backend APIs, databases, and services.
• Write and maintain SQL queries; work with PostgreSQL/Oracle.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps collaboration with DevOps.
