Job summary

REI Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, automation, and operation of enterprise-scale cloud environments and software delivery platforms supporting mission-critical federal applications.

The candidate will work with software engineering, infrastructure, security, architecture, and operations teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, container platforms, and production operations, bringing hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience designing and maintaining enterprise CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins and Groovy.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, and/or OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and container-based application environments.
• Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, own, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and software delivery platforms supporting enterprise-scale applications.
• Architect and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for scalable, secure cloud environments.
• Design, deploy, optimize, and support containerized applications and microservices using Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, and OpenShift.
• Develop automation solutions using Bash, Python, Groovy, or similar scripting languages.
• Lead deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and promote best practices in DevOps engineering.
