Job summary

Capital One is seeking a senior software engineer to lead the design, development, and reliability of a mission-critical enterprise messaging platform. You will build developer APIs, automate CI/CD pipelines, and drive incident management and monitoring to ensure high availability.

The role requires strong Java, Spring, and Kafka experience, plus cloud and Agile proficiency. This on-site position is based in Deerfield, IL and offers growth within the Capital One Platform Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Java and Spring experience with Kafka.
• Experience with cloud platforms, Agile methodologies, and API design is a plus.
