Job summary

Sigma Software in Dearborn, MI is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable cloud-native microservices for the Connected Services platform, owning the full software lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

You will build robust APIs and event-driven systems for real-time device and data integrations, collaborate with product and DevOps on CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, and contribute to architecture reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Java and Spring ecosystem (Java 17+ preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging technologies.
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security patterns.
• Proficient with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Hands-on with cloud deployments using Docker and Kubernetes (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Contributions to open-source Java or Spring projects.
