Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, implement, and test high-level applications for the System. You will provide advanced technical expertise, lead project implementations, and collaborate with users and analysts to translate business needs into robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• 5 Years of Experience in software development.
• Experience with healthcare standards/regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Builds, implements and tests new applications, upgrades, enhancements, database designs, and performs maintenance to ensure system compatibility.
• Ensures appropriate integration of new applications or projects with existing technical environment.
• Trains and assists in the development of personnel, encouraging cross-training efforts to build team technical skill sets.
• Establishes technical standards and guidelines for effective programming.
• Verifies that user manuals are kept current.
• Maintains knowledge of current technology and writes technical documentation.
• Meets with customers and works with Business Analysts to create software requirements, architecture, testing plan, and release documentation.
• Conceive, experiment with, and present architectural approaches for software applications.
• Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the entire product.
