Job summary

Jobtailor in San Francisco is seeking a software engineer to build incentive mechanics, referral flows, and personalization driving member growth. You’ll deliver large projects and modernize pipelines to scale with company growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
3+ years of non-internship full-time professional software development experience
Experience delivering large software projects or features in a production environment
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
Strong backend API and service ownership, with ability to work confidently in React / React Native frontend surfaces
Ability to own projects end-to-end, make sound technical tradeoffs, and execute with minimal direction
Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude or Claude Code and agentic AI workflows
Preferred: growth-team, incentives, rewards, social mechanics, personalization, A/B testing, ML model serving, experimentation platforms, ML feature stores, or health/regulatory-data experience
