Job summary

AMD is seeking an influential software engineer to improve performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will join a core team working with the latest hardware and software, driving sophisticated issues to resolution.

The role requires strong software engineering leadership, effective cross-team communication, and hands-on experience with FPGA-related development across Windows and Linux platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
• Strong OO programming with C/C++.
• Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs.
• Experience with Windows and Linux development.
• Familiarity with debuggers, source control (GitHub) and profilers is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Motivating leader with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on FPGA Device Modeling and Physical Databases.
• Collaborate with architecture specialists to improve future products.
• Apply a data-minded approach to target optimization efforts.
• Stay informed of software and hardware trends, especially algorithms and architecture.
• Participate in new FPGA and hardware bring ups.
• Debug existing issues and research more efficient approaches.
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners.
