Job summary

Visa is seeking Software Development Engineers to design, implement, and improve software applications and systems. You will primarily code, work with AI-assisted development, cloud services, and automation frameworks to deliver scalable fintech solutions.

You will collaborate across product, design, data science, QA, and compliance to translate requirements into robust code. The role emphasizes security, maintainability, and performance, with 3+ days in the office as part of the routine.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in developing and/or implementing web-based or mobile applications (minimum two years).
• Experience in building and testing enterprise-scale web services (minimum one year).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret requirements and incorporate feedback into designs or fixes.
• Translate business requirements by verifying assumptions and escalating potential design issues.
• Assist in identifying risks and communicating impacts to senior engineers.
• Design and develop product components based on needs of senior engineers.
• Participate in project estimation and address delays.
• Create and implement code for products, services, or components with reusable patterns.
• Apply security assessment processes to ensure code is secure.
• Use debugging tools to verify assumptions and flag issues proactively.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards.
• Create test plans and configure testing procedures to identify defects.
• Respond to incidents during on-call rotations and deploy fixes as needed.
• Leverage software developer tools to create, debug, and maintain code.
• Remain current in skills through training resources to improve product performance.
