Job summary

Visa is seeking Software Development Engineers to design, implement, and improve software applications and systems in the fintech space. In this role, you will spend approximately 60-75% of time coding and collaborating with product managers, data scientists, QA, operations, and compliance to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

All roles require fluency with digital tools and AI-assisted development, cloud services, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Java/J2EE and JavaScript preferred.
• Experience with Angular, NodeJS, Spring, MySQL, and Linux preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret requirements and feed back into designs.
• Translate requirements by verifying assumptions and flag issues.
• Participate in system design and architecture and contribute to design docs.
• Develop, test, and maintain code for products and services following best practices.
• Respond to on-call requests and deploy fixes under guidance.
• Conduct code reviews to enforce coding standards and quality.
