Job summary

Jobtailor in New Jersey seeks a senior Node.js engineer to design, develop, and maintain microservices in a Lerna-managed monorepo using Express.js and NestJS, with a focus on high-throughput financial data processing.

You will optimize MySQL performance with Prisma/Sequelize, implement AWS SQS/BullMQ messaging, mentor juniors, review code, and contribute to API design and OpenAPI specs, ensuring production reliability with Jest tests and CI/CD improvements in Jenkins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Node.js experience.
• 1+ years of hands-on TypeScript in production.
• Experience optimizing MySQL performance and migrations.
• Experience with Prisma and Sequelize ORMs.
• Production experience with AWS SQS, Redis/BullMQ, or similar queues.
• Strong unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Proficient with Docker, containerization, and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices in a Lerna-managed monorepo using Express.js and NestJS.
• Architect scalable solutions for high-throughput financial data processing.
• Collaborate on API design and maintain OpenAPI specifications.
