Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions is seeking an experienced Node.js Developer to work on a modern microservices platform in a hybrid mode with in-person collaboration 2 days a week and flexible remote work otherwise.

You will design, develop, and optimize distributed services using Express.js/NestJS, TypeScript, and MySQL, while mentoring others and driving reliability with Jest and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Node.js experience.
• Expert-level TypeScript knowledge with strong patterns.
• Database expertise: MySQL optimization and query tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices within a Lerna monorepo (Express.js, NestJS).
• Architect scalable solutions for high-throughput financial data processing.
• Optimize MySQL performance with Prisma and Sequelize.
• Implement robust messaging with AWS SQS and BullMQ/Redis.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate on API design and maintain OpenAPI specifications.
• Ensure system reliability through testing (Jest).
• Participate in CI/CD improvements using Jenkins.
• Debug and optimize production issues across distributed services.
