Job summary

SIG Susquehanna is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Operations Development group to build foundational data infrastructure powering middle and back office workflows.

You will own meaningful pieces end-to-end, contribute to design reviews with Operations, Finance, and Treasury teams, and apply strong C#/.NET and SQL skills to deliver auditable, high-integrity systems that support PnL reconciliation and trade lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of software development experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong SQL skills; ability to design and query large, structured financial datasets.
• Experience building high-correctness, auditable systems where data accuracy is paramount.
• Demonstrated ownership mentality—see problems through to resolution.
• Comfortable working independently on ambiguous problems and communicating progress, blockers, and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve core middle and back office systems, owning specific services end-to-end.
• Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code with emphasis on correctness and auditability.
• Contribute actively to architecture and design discussions; your technical opinions are valued.
• Debug and resolve complex data and system issues independently, escalating when appropriate.
• Use AI-assisted development tooling to improve delivery quality and velocity.
• Develop and maintain internal books and records systems capturing full trade lifecycle.
