Job summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Expeditionary Unmanned Systems (ExUS) portfolio. The role offers a Hybrid schedule averaging 1–2 days onsite per week, with potential remote consideration based on experience and location.

You will design, implement, and integrate software components for COIN/Nexus, CCS modules, and other UUV capabilities for Navy ExUS programs. You will collaborate with NIWC PAC, fleet operators, and government stakeholders to ensure system

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a Master’s; or 9 years with a HS diploma.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and code quality.
• Experience with distributed, modular architectures and front-end Angular 10+.
• Active DoD SECRET clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance COIN/Nexus and ExUS command-and-control systems.
• Design and build C# applications and Angular front‑ends.
• Develop modules and integration components for ExUS tools and CCS.
• Support verification, validation, debugging, and test readiness for releases.
• Produce briefs, technical docs, and CONOPS contributions.
